The 2018 Formula 1 season somewhat spans throughout the year. From March through to November, F1 drivers will chase each other (isn’t that what they do?) on race circuits around the world. Different continents in the world will play host to the thrill of high speed races, adrenaline-inspired driving and all the drama involved.
This year’s edition of the F1 has had its own fair share of drama. With 4 races already done and dusted, the next stop is Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain. The coming weekend will feature Practice Tests, Qualifying Races and of course, the Main Race.
With the way the Azerbaijan Grand Prix went, we take a look at some of the drivers who can win this race.
-
Lewis Hamilton
The British driver had his first taste of victory in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. After a number of collisions (Team Red Bull), badly-timing overtaking (Sebastian Vettel) and punctured tires (Valtteri Bottas), Hamilton was well poised to take advantage of the whole drama and take the chequered flag in Baku.
His drought in the first 3 races had the pressure on him. But now that he has ticked off getting his first win of the new season, the world champion will be thirsty for more of the champagne that drivers who get podium finishes get to drink.

Sebastian Vettel
Unarguably, he’s Hamilton’s biggest challenger this season for the drivers’ championship. And the battle for more points will continue when both drivers take the circuit this weekend in Barcelona.
He finished in fourth place in Baku, causing his lead on the F1 standings to be cut off completely. With 66 points, he is now 4 points behind Lewis Hamilton on the standings. The German will be looking to win the next 25 points available to be able to usurp his British counterpart.
Remember he finished second in Spain last year?

Valtteri Bottas
If Lewis Hamilton and Seb are favorites to finish in ether one of the first or second places, this Finnish driver is one of the favorites to complete that top three.
Although currently in fourth place, he has done well for himself this season, with a couple of podium place finishes.

Kimi Raikkonen
Here’s another Finnish driver who is part of the Ferrari Team. He’s currently in third place, with 48 points and will be looking to climb even higher up the standings.
He will be spurred by the fact that he finished 2nd in Baku, 3rd in China, and 3rd in Australia. He will definitely be looking to get his first win in this Spanish Grand Prix.
