Out with the old and in with the new. Welcome to yet another year. Cheers to an amazing 2019 ahead. May it be a year of fulfilled dreams and happiness.
With each new year comes a host of sporting events. The calendar is already packed with events set to go down this year. And during the course of the year, it’s easy to lose track of which events will take place during the year.
To avoid missing out on the action (and also missing out on the money that can be made), we’ve compiled a list of the sporting events set to go down this year. Be sure to bookmark this page and re-visit it again and again to stay updated.
Some of these events include:
1. The Grand Slams
There’ll be other tennis tournaments this year. But the major ones, the four Grand Slams, will be the centre of attraction this year.
And the first one that will take place this year in January is the Australian Open which will be followed by the French Open. Wimbledon and the U.S Open will be the final two to take place before the end of the year.
Roger Federer to win is 6.25 odds while Rafa Nadal to win is 6.76 odds.

2. FIFA Women’s World Cup
From June 7 to July 7, the best female footballers will converge in France to compete for the Women’s World Cup. The eighth edition of the tournament will feature 24 teams from 6 confederations. The teams to beat include U.S.A (the most successful team and current champions) among others.
3. Super Bowl LIII
Last year February, Philadelphia Eagles fought like hell to win their first Super Bowl title. December saw the end of the regular season.

This January, the post-season will start, first featuring the Wild Card Round, and then the Divisional Round. These will be followed by the Conference Championships, the Pro Bowl and then the Super Bowl.
4. NBA Playoff Final
One thing is sure this year: there won’t be a repeat of the Warriors-Cavaliers NBA final. The regular season is still very much on. But by June, all talks would have shifted to the biggest game of the season.
Will it be Curry or Antetokounmpo or Harden or Derozan or Lebron or Westbrook or Kawhi?

It still remains to be seen which two teams will make it to the final. Each conference is still being keenly contested and there’s still the little case of the Playoff games before the final.
