2020 SPORTING EVENTS

Happy New Year, everyone. Whether you’ve been an avid reader of our blog or this is your first time visiting, here’s wishing you a prosperous 2020. Hopefully, it’ll be a year to remember for all the good reasons.

For us sports fans, 2020, just like every other year, is here with all the sports action any year can feature. From football to basketball, Formula 1 and tennis, there’s more-than-enough to choose from for every sport fan. The same also applies to bettors.

Every week this year will feature several sporting events to bet on and make money from. Starting with the first month of the year, here are four sporting events you can cash in on in the month of January

    1. ATP Cup

The new tournament in the world of tennis will run from Friday, 3rd of January to Sunday, the 12th of January. This is the first edition of the tournament and will be the first time that there has been an ATP team tournament since the last edition of the World Team Cup in 2012.

Instead of players featuring individually, they will be representing their countries in some sort of tennis world cup. With the Australian Open just days away, this puts pressure on the players. For you, the bettor, however, it’s the perfect way to start your year!

  1. Australian Open

As usual, the first Grand Slam of the year will be played this month. With the ATP Cup, it’s no longer the first tennis tournament of the year. However, it still remains the biggest tennis tourney that will take place in the first month of the year.

Although the tournament will not feature Andy Murray, the likes of Serena Williams, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Naomi Osaka and others will be looking to win the first Grand Slam title of the year 2020.

  1. EFL Cup Semi-final

In the next five month, a lot of football trophies will be up for grabs. One of them, the first one in fact, will be the EFL Cup – also known as the Carabao Cup.

  1. NFL Playoffs

We’re done with the regular season of American Football. All that’s left now is the road to the Super Bowl in February. From Conference finals to Divisional Playoffs and the Pro-Bowl, there’s plenty to choose from as we start the year.
