German Bundesliga

The action is just beginning to pick up speed in the German Bundesliga this season. With all the Round 5 games finishing with two goals or more, the momentum is gain ground in German club football.

And this makes it the perfect time to bet on the games in the league. As we head into yet another weekend of club football, you need to add some German Bundesliga sides to your bet slip. It’s okay if you haven’t been following the action in the league.

In this blog post, we’ll be taking a look at some of the teams you should keep an eye out for as the league enters MatchDay 6.

  1. The Unbeaten Ones

Of the 18 teams in this league, only three have made it to this stage without losing.

Table-toppers, RB Leipzig, suffered at the hands of Manchester United. It was their first loss since losing to PSG in the UCL quarter-finals. In the league however, they have been impeccable, winning four and drawing just once.

Bayer Leverkusen have scored half the number of goals Leipzig have scored this season, 6. The three they have conceded makes their defense one of the best in the league and is why they have not lost a game this season. Wolfsburg are also unbeaten so far, although theirs is a run featuring just one win.

Bottom of this list is Hertha Berlin and Mainz 05. These two sides have conceded a combined 27 goals so far this season – an average of five per game.

After losing to Borussia Dortmund in the Revierderby last week, Schalke 04 sunk to 17th on the table. It was their fourth loss in a season where they have conceded 19 goals so far. Theirs is the worst defensive record in the league this season.

Neither one of Koln nor Mainz 05 have even conceded that many goals this season, although they too are yet to win a game this season. While Mainz are conceding an average of three goals per game, Koln have only scored five in five league games this season.
