For a while now, teams have been playing qualifiers in a bid to feature in the 2018/2019 edition of the Europa League.
The new season which starts September will see 64 teams start the race to the title from the group stages. While the world is waiting for the new season, football fans are also curious as to which teams will make it into the group stages of the competition.
The past week featured the first leg of the third round of qualifying games. Over 30 games between over 70 clubs were played across Europe. And tomorrow, the second and deciding leg of those games will be played.
If you missed out on making some cool cash from the first leg, this is your chance to bet on the over 30 games set to be played tomorrow. To help you put things into perspective, here are some useful tips as regards what you should know about these return legs:
-
The net busters
From the first leg, they were a few teams who stood out from the crowd no thanks to the high number of goals that they scored. Atalanta scored 4 in their win over Hapoel Haifa. While Apollon scored 4 goals in front of their home fans, Torpedo Kutaisi scored 5 away goals, Trencin and Olympiakos Piraeus got 4 vital away goals.

Games still too close to call
Being a two-legged affair, only the teams that win on aggregate will proceed to the playoffs. And while some teams – like the ones mentioned above – have somewhat of a foot already in the playoffs, it’s a bit more complicated for some other teams.
Maccabi Tel Aviv and Pyunik played out a goalless draw in Armenia. Maccabi now needs to win the game out rightly and also make sure they don’t concede too many away goals that may eliminate them. Other first leg games that ended without a goal are:
- Molde vs. Hibernian
- FCSB vs. Hadjuk Split
Which of these teams do you think will qualify to the next round?

It’s the same situation in the game between APOEL and Hapoel Be’er Sheva. But it was a 2-2 draw in the first leg. With the return leg to be played in Cyprus, APOEL is in the front seat, with their two away goals. But they have to make sure they don’t concede another two goals from the Israelis.
