Action resumes in Europe’s premier club football competition this week.
The quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League will be played across various venues this week. For the eight remaining teams, the journey to the final in June continues.
This year’s UCL quarter-final draws was largely dominated by English teams. Four of them have come this far. And as it stands, only three of them or less will make it to the semi-final.
That’s because of the all-English tie between Tottenham and Manchester City.

Tottenham vs. Manchester City
This is the first of three meetings between both sides in April. Twice they will face off against each other in the UCL and in the Premier League. Tottenham launched their new stadium with a win over Crystal Palace. This game against Manchester City is the second game inside the Tottenham Stadium.

For the Citizens, the quadruple chase is on. Still very much alive in the FA Cup and the Premier League, they will be looking to an advantage to the Etihad Stadium.
-
Ajax vs. Juventus
This game has been overshadowed by the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo due to injury. Ajax, having eliminated Real Madrid, will be looking to make light work of their Italian opponents and make the most of their home advantage. Surely, they will be wary of their poor history against Juventus.
Since 1996, both sides have played seven times, with Juventus winning five and the rest ending in a tie.
Can Ajax break this trend or will it continue?

Manchester United vs. Barcelona
On Saturday, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer visited the Camp Nou to watch Barcelona take on Atletico Madrid. Barca’s last 10 minutes of that game must have given Solskjaer and every other United fan watching something to worry about.
The Catalan giants ran Diego Someone’s side ragged. Manchester United will be looking to use their home advantage to the fullest when they welcome Barcelona.
-
Liverpool vs. Porto
Jurgen Klopp has somewhat turned Anfield Stadium into a fortress. The Reds very rarely lose on home turf. It’s a nightmare for opposition teams and FC Porto will find out more about this when they visit this week.

The Reds will enter this game with the PL title chase somewhere on their minds. Going one better than they did last season is the best they can do for themselves this season. And with third kind of squad, it’s not impossible.
Which of these four teams do you think will gain a first-leg advantage? Which of these eight teams will win their UCL games this week? Leave us your comments and share your thoughts with us.
