For all it is worth, the UEFA Champions League has more attention than the UEFA Europa League because the mega stars come out to play there. BUT…the Europa League is tougher to win than the Champions League; although you may disagree.
Asides having more groups (Groups A – L) than the Champions League, competing teams play more games than those competing in the UCL. With the group stage reaching its climax, we take a look at some of the things that we now know about the UEFA Europa League.
These 2nd Vs. 3rd Games Will Determine Qualification
Clubs are getting ready for the knockout stages of the competition. With four games gone, every point from the last two games will play a vital role. While some teams have already sealed their qualification, some others need to make sure of it.
And most of them face off against each other in this fifth round of group stage games.
In Group B, Partizan Boys, on 5 points take on Young Boys, on 3 points. Both teams are second and third respectively on the table and a win for either side can turn the table around drastically.
In Group C, Sporting Braga and Hoffenheim will be looking to get the better of each other as they look to progress to the next phase of the competition.
Nice vs. Zulte-Waregem is another qualification-deciding game. Both sides are currently separated by 2 points on the table and will have to battle things out for the remaining qualification spot in the group after Lazio.
