Water Polo Champions League

Water Polo Champions League

In this part of the world, we usually pay more attention to games like soccer.

When last did you check out a game like water polo?

Well, in case you haven’t guessed yet, that’s the game we are discussing today.

The LEN Champions League started a while ago, and now, we are down to the last eight. It has been a battle among 16 teams divided into two groups.

(The LEN Champions League is the top-tier European professional water polo club competition with teams from up to 18 different countries.)

But now, the game just got more interesting. The quarter-final matches are about to begin.

On the 6th, we will experience all 8 teams play in four games.

For Water Polo fans, this will be an exciting moment. And even if you are not a fan, this is an excellent opportunity to make extra cash this week.

What are your expectations for the quarter-final games? Which teams do you think will qualify for the semi-final games?

Let’s take a look at the quarter-final matches and what to expect:

  1. Pro Recco vs Waspo Hannover

Pro Recco finished the group stages top on the table.

They have finished with a whopping 42 points and have lost none of their games since the LEN Championship began.

Waspo Hannover on the other hand, finished 6th on their group’s table and only qualified for the final eight because they are the host team for the tournament.

They have just 12 points to their name.

At this point, the chances of winning are higher for Pro Recco who haven’t lost any of their last five matches.

Pro Recco have not lost any match this season.

  1. Olympiacos vs AN Brescia

Olympiacos has done well so far.

They sit second on their group’s table with 30 points. They have lost only two games this season and recently, won all of their last five matches.

This is more than we have to say for Brescia.

Brescia sits third on their group’s table. They have lost only 3 matches, two of which was from their last 5 games.

The performance difference between both teams are minimal. We can only hope that the best team wins.

Brescia have suffered three losses this season.

  1. Jug Dubrovnik vs FTC Budapest

Jug finished first in the group stage with 32 points.

So far, they have lost only two matches. Their recent performance has however not been so impressive: they won two out of their last five games.

FTC Budapest, on the other hand, finished fourth in their group.

They have only 25 points and have lost five games so far. This is more than the losses Jug have had so far.

But ironically, they have had more recent wins than Jug. They won three of their last five matches.

This game will be a tight one. We can only keep our fingers crossed.
