When you’re a club side in England, especially in the Premier League, folks expect life to be hard for you. It’s the most-watched football league in the world for one reason: the stiff competition between clubs which means any team can conquer any other one at any time.
But this season, a certain Spaniard seems to have flipped the script we’re all used to and his move has got everybody wondering. When Pep Guardiola came around last season and brought his “possession football” with him, there was so much pressure on him to change his style, especially with the kind of losses Manchester City was suffering at the time.
Most football pundits thought it won’t work. Well, fast-forward to 18 months later and the comments have changed. After going on a 16-game winning streak, the Citizens have created an 11-point gap between themselves and their closest rival, Manchester United.
Will they be able to make it 17 wins in a row in the PL?

This has caused some sort of uproar in the league and even in neighboring leagues. It seems almost as if City is running away with this season’s Premier League title and this has prompted the most popular question in the world, “Who will stop Manchester City?”
We’re already into the second half of the Premier League season. For a side that has yet to taste defeat since the beginning of the season in August, that is a very hard question to answer. Add to that the fact that they’ve found a way to beat the league’s best during the same period, and you’ll understand better.
Away wins over Chelsea and Manchester United, home wins over Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham has put them on that “Invincible Mode.” Yes, fans all over the world expect them to lose at some point in the league. But, the big question is, when will this loss come? In the last game of the season?

When you think of City losing, then you also try to find the team they will lose to in the Premier League. Only Everton has escaped defeat at the hands of City this season. And that was because they played against a 10-man City side.
As you can see, the most popular question in the world has birthed even more questions after taking a closer look at it.
From, “Who will stop City?” we now have:
- When will they lose their first game of the season?
- Which team will they be losing to?
It’s hard to not appreciate the way Manchester City has completely bossed other Premier League clubs around. Pep Guardiola is happy his philosophy is working in England. The Spaniard is conquering all and sundry this season.
But what do you think? When will his first defeat come this season? Mind you, he has only lost once this season (to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League). When will a second defeat – and then a third and more – come? Will it ever come?
